THE NOBLE PIG:

We raise 100% pure Mangalitsa pigs.  Haven't tried 'em?  We strongly encourage you to put in an order.  Mangalitsa has been called the Kobe beef of pork, but they're not Japanese.  They're actually a lard pig heralding from the former Austro-Hungarian Empire -- these guys got royalty in their bloodlines.  They produce truly exceptional meat, and are a great source for creating cured products a la Charcuterie, Salumier, Wurstmeister, or whatever spek you speak. 

We also raise Berkshire pigs for their beauty marbling and bountiful bellies.  

 

And for fun, we're crossing the two breeds just to see what happens.  Nature's miracle, PORK!

WHY PIGS:

In an effort to restore and improve soil quality, we added pigs to the ever-growing work force.  Pigs till the ground, fertilize the soil, and seed lands with cover crops and forage all for the benefit of future generations of bugs, animals and even tiny microbes.

 

Wanna to take part in something really fun?  Come out one Spring or Fall and help with the Great Pig Migration.  But what is the Great Pig Migration you ask?  Good question.  It's when we move the pigs from their winter lands near the barn to wooded pasture out back.  After all, happy pigs are healthy pigs are...well you get the idea.
